Kanye West's The Life of Pablo didn't arrive as promised Friday, but the rapper said it was for a good reason: Chance the Rapper was in the studio doing some last-minute work on a song called "Waves," which was left off the final and then reconfigured Pablo track lists. However, Chance fought for "Waves" to be included on the album.

"It's Chance's fault the album not out yet… he really wanted Waves on that Bitch… we in the lab now...," West tweeted early Saturday morning. In a series of tweets, Chance corroborated West's claims that he was holding up The Life of Pablo's release.
"I fought everyone to keep Waves on the album. I spent all night finishing it. The world is better because of it," Chance tweeted. The Chicago rapper then posted a photo of West's handwritten 17-song Pablo track list with "Waves" unnumbered and squeezed between "I Miss the Old Kanye" and "FML."
